Nurse Care Coord.-Amb. Surg. Job for NY DSX812 in New York, NY

Medical center in New York City is seeking Nurse Care Coordinator-Ambulatory Surgery. Responsibilities include coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing care and practice within a specific unit on a 24 hour basis; maintaining standards of nursing care and practice by supervising and evaluating unit personnel. Also, to promote the philosophy and objectives of the Nursing Department. BSN preferred. BCLS/ACLS/PALS certification required. Baccalaureate Degree required, Masters Degree preferred. Current NY State Nursing License/Registration required. Graduate of an accredited program of nursing education. Two years previous proven experience and expertise in a first-line management position commensurate with the units clinical demands preferred. IV/EKG certified or with prior training. Must be available to work flexible hours. Computer knowledge, management/supervisor experience in hospital setting and Ambulatory Surgery preferred. Bilingual preferred.
