Sales Director, Advertising Tools and Technologies in New York, NY

Microsoft Microsoft Advertising is looking for a proven sales executive to help position our company and the Atlas Advertiser Tools platform. The Solution Sales Specialist is responsible for driving Microsoft?s ad serving market share, revenue, and customer satisfaction in the Eastern Region as well as for evangelizing the Atlas value proposition within partner teams at Microsoft. Core Responsibilities - Leverage existing Rolodex to prospect and sell Atlas at the CMO, CTO, and VP level at fortune 500 advertisers, agencies, agency networks, and global agency holding companies - Generate revenue towards a defined quota established for revenue earned from ad serving and other services - Provide thought leadership within the industry as it relates to ad serving platforms and the use of data and technology to improve marketing efficiency - Advise sales and product management regarding market opportunities, sales positioning, and strategic planning - Act as an online advertising expert and internal ad serving evangelist with Microsoft partner teams; provide deep knowledge and insights to drive creative and long term improvements to our overall platform offering - Own monthly territory sales forecasts and account planning Qualifications A deep understanding of the online advertising industry with a focus on the tools and technologies that enable ad serving At least 5 years proven direct sales experience in digital media with strong foundation in technology, or in technology sales with strong foundation in digital media Experience with partner/agency/alliance management, business development and negotiations Experience with direct advertiser sales, including negotiations and management of strategic partnerships Ambitious with strong strategic thinking skills Able to develop comprehensive forward looking plans and execute against them with both strategic and tactical initiatives Team player with a positive and dynamic personality Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong planning and organizational capabilities Competencies
