Accounting / Finance: Controller - New York, New York in New York, NY

Controller Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will be responsible for oversight of all accounting and financial reporting activities for WNET. The Controller will be involved in supporting presentations to the Board of Directors, Finance, Audit and Investment Committees of the Board and will work closely with the senior management team. The Controller will lead all day-to-day accounting operations including functional responsibility over general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and grants administration, investments and cash management activities, preparation of year-end financial statements and tax reporting. The Controller will ensure that WNET has effective information systems to maintain a controlled financial reporting environment and procedures in place to support effective program implementation and to ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. In addition, s/he will partner with the CFO, senior management, Human Resources and Information Technology staff to enhance and better integrate finance, HR and IT functions.
